North Carolina State Amateur Championship
This year’s North Carolina State Amateur Championship will be at Raleigh Country Club. The May-June issue of Carolinas Green stated the championship had been moved because of drought but while that was an option under consideration recent rains have confirmed the event will go ahead in Raleigh as planned. Carolinas Green apologizes for this error.
Upstate TGA Volunteer Landscape Day
The Upstate Turfgrass Association held a volunteer landscape day at the new headquarters in Liberty, SC on Wednesday, April 16. 2008 Bennett-Maples Scholarship Applications
We are now accepting applications for the Bennett-Maples Scholarships for 2008. Applicant must be a child or a legal guardian grandchild of a current superintendent or assistant superintendent member. Please note that there are changes on this year's application. The changes are indicated in red. To print or view the application, click here. Beginning in 2009, there will be a maximum of 2 scholarship awards per child and the awards can not be in back to back years. For 2008, repeat applicants from 2007 will be considered.
